Adult Grief Support Group to begin in Menard
Frontera is offering support services for bereaved spouses through their Behavioral Health program. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and express the feelings and experiences they have had surrounding the death of a spouse in a safe space, to find comfort and hope in the knowledge that they are not alone, and to help one another in the process of healing. Although facilitated by a mental health counselor, this group is not a therapy group, but rather a support group. Potential group members will need to complete an application and meet with Vickie Purdy, LPC, in order to jointly determine their readiness for participation. The group will be limited to 6 participants and will last approximately 6 weeks. Those who are interested may pick up an application at their nearest Frontera clinic and return or mail in attached envelope to the Menard clinic.
